For Out patients :-
Gyn OPD- Timing – 8.30 AM to 12.30 PM
 Daily OPD except Sunday & National holydays
Run by each full time unit, consisting of senior staff, residents & interns
Approximately  100 to 1 30 patients are seen per day and if needed admission are done.
Consultation or treatment are free, investigation are charged (except for ANC patients, MLC Patients, Family planning Patients ) a nominal   Amount as per govt. rules. Eligible Patients are allowed to take  benefit of  Rajiv Gandhi Jivandayi  Aarogya Yojana (Free of cost Medications & investigations )

Emergency services :-
Emergency services are available round the Clock  (24 Hours  ).
Emergency patients coming to Hospital  are attending in casualty  (No.17) & Labour room by on call unit & Patients requiring indoor management  are admitted to ward

In patients :-
For in patients one ANC ward, one gyn ward, one LSCS ward, one PNC ward, One labour ward
Located in B Block Building at first & second floor
 Diet, Treatment is free .
Special investigations are charged nominal amount as per government rules
Total no.of beds-207

Emergency obstetric and gynaecology ward ( Trauma ward)
Located at b block building at 3rd floor
Each day emergency ward is equipped to handle critically ill patients with the requisite ventilators and monitors.
A dedicated on call unit is available 24 hrs.They are supported by the trauma on call anaesthetist and team .

Operation Theatre:-
Operation theatre complex with 4 tables is located at B Block building at 1 st floor .
All major and minor surgeries-emergency and elective LSCS,Family Planning operations.laparoscopic surgeries and procedures ,hysterectomy ,D & C,suction & evacuation are performed for a nominal charge as per government rules (except for ANC patients, MLC Patients, Family planning Patients).

Teaching Programme:

The Department of Obsterics and Gynaecology undertakes teaching programme for both Undergraduate aand Postgraduate degree coursesoffered by MUHS and recognized by MCI.

MBBS:-

150 students are admitted per year
4.5  years course
Teaching includes obstetrics and gynaecology lecturers ,clinical postings in anc opd  wards ,and operation theatres and tutorials.
Assessment is done throught the year in the form of ward exams ,internal assessment exams,prelim exams,final year exams conducted byMUHS.
Interns undergo orientation programme ,and are allowed to assist and perform minor proceduresunder supervision in in labour ward, operation theatres and ward.

Postgraduate (MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology) Course
7 students are registered per Year.
Admissions are by entrance examinations conducted by government.
This is a full time 3 year residency stipendary programme .they stay on campus and are available on duty 24 hours. Campus accommodation and leave benefits are provided.
Residents are registered with their PG guide for their thesis.
PG teaching programme includes small group teaching,seminars,,PG activities,wardclinics,supervision of operative procedures,use of departmental library.
Participate in workshop on research methodology .
Residents are actively guided andencouraged to present departmental work in national and international journals.
Senior Resident post are available for those who have completed recognized 3 year residency.

 

CMEs and Research:
The department conducts regular CMEs programmes,seminars and workshops.
Eminent members of the profession are invited for guest lectures and  demos.
Research activities consist of departmental projects ,postgraduation students thesis and participation pharmaceutical clinical trials.
